The 888 Free Shell Helix HX8 Contest 2019 (“Contest”) is jointly organized by Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd (Company No. 6087-M) (“SMTSB”) and Shell Timur Sdn Bhd (Company No. 113304-H) (“STSB”), collectively known as “Shell”. The Contest Period is from 1st April 2019 (12:01 AM) to 31th August 2019 (11:59 PM) both dates inclusive, which can be extended by Shell without prior notice. This Contest is open to all Shell customers in Malaysia (“Participants”) at all Shell Helix Branded Workshops. To participate in the Contest and stand a chance to win the Contest Prize: Both new and existing SHARE customers must submit a participation form found at the SHARE Contest page: www.shell.com.my/helix888. (b) By submitting the participation form, participants who are not SHARE members will also be registering for the SHARE program. Participants must be SHARE members to participate in the Contest. Please refer to the SHARE T&C for more information of the SHARE program: https://share.shell.com/consumer/my/Pages/TnC.aspx Participants must submit their Name, NRIC Number, Contact Number, E-mail, Vehicle Brand,Vehicle Usage, Vehicle Registration Plate Number, Vehicle Model, Vehicle Year of Manufacture, Oil Viscosity in use, Engine Type – Turbo or Non-Turbo and answer a question via the participation form. Eight hundred and eighty-eight (888) selected participants (“Winners”) who fulfil all the steps stated in Clause 4 will stand a chance to win a free 4L bottle of Shell Helix HX8 5W-40 for participants who own a turbo car engine and Shell Helix HX8 X 5W-30 for participants who own a non-turbo car engine. The Winners shall be selected based on accurate answers and must own a car that uses a similar oil viscosity as per the Contest Prize, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Winners will be informed by Shell’s appointed agency on 17th June 2019. Only one Contest Prize per Participant. To receive the Contest Prize: Winners will be contacted by Shell’s appointed agency via telephone to participate in a pre-survey prior to receiving the Contest Prize. Winners will receive a unique Contest Code to redeem the Free Shell Helix HX8 4L bottle and be directed to the nearest Shell Helix Branded Workshop for an oil change service via SMS. Winners must show the unique Contest Code to the representative of the Shell Helix Branded Workshop when purchasing an oil change service to redeem the Free Shell Helix HX8 4L bottle. Winners will be contacted by the appointed agency via phone call to participate in a post-survey after redemption of the Contest Prize. The Contest Code is valid for three (3) months from the date of receipt, from 17th June 2019 to 16th September 2019. The following terms and conditions apply to the Contest Prize: The Contest Prize is provided on an “As Is” basis. In the event of unavailability of the Contest Prize, Shell reserves the right to substitute the Contest Prize with any other prize of similar value at any time without prior notice. The Contest Prize is not exchangeable for cash, credit or kind. The Contest Prize usage is solely at your own risk. The Contest Prize only includes a bottle of Shell HX8 Engine Oil and does not include or cover any associated oil filter change charges or labour charges. The Contest Prize does not deem as one of the four (4) consecutive oil changes required to enjoy the Frequent User Benefit eligible for SHARE members, in which a member earns a 5th Shell Helix Engine Oil product for free after completing four (4) consecutive oil changes. By participating in this Contest and redeeming the Contest Benefit, the Participants expressly agree and consent to: participate in this Contest and be bound by the Contest Terms and Conditions including all Shell’s decisions in relation to the Contest; allow Shell, its Affiliates and its agencies to process and disclose to any third party, all personal data of the Participants provided by the Participants for this Contest for any and all purposes in relation to this Contest and any and all other activity relating to or arising from the course of business or businesses of Shell and its Affiliates; allow Shell to collect, use, disclose and share amongst themselves and their respective service providers, the Participants’ personal data, including the photographs or audio-video or other recordings of the Participants for publicity and/or use in advertisements across all media, in its original or edited format, and whether to promote the Contest or otherwise without further notification, remuneration or compensation; and authorize Shell to process the Participants’ personal data provided pursuant to this Contest in accordance to the Contest Privacy Policy which forms an integral part of the Contest Terms and Conditions. All Shell’s decision on all matters including but not limited to the eligibility of the Participants, Contest Mechanics and/or Contest Benefit for this Contest or in the event of any dispute shall be final and binding and no correspondence or appeals shall be entertained. Shell reserves the right to cancel, terminate or suspend this Contest with or without any prior notice. For the avoidance of doubt, cancellation, termination or suspension by Shell of this Contest shall not entitle any party to any claim or compensation against Shell for any and all losses or damage suffered or incurred by any party as a direct or indirect result of the act of cancellation, termination or suspension. In no event will Shell be liable for any loss or damages including without limitations, loss of income, profits or goodwill, direct or indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, punitive or special damages of any party including third parties howsoever arising whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise, in connection with this Contest, even if Shell has been advised of the possibility of such damages in advance, and all such damages are expressly excluded. All Participants shall be personally responsible for all taxes, rates, government fees or any other charges that may be levied against them under applicable laws, if any, in relation to this Contest. Shell reserves the right at its absolute discretion to amend, delete or add to any of these Terms and Conditions from time to time without prior notice. These Terms and Conditions, as the same may be amended from time to time, shall prevail over any provisions or representations contained in any other Contest material advertising this Contest.
